Auckland has again been ranked 5th out of 215 in the Mercer’s 2008 Quality of Living Survey, above all other New Zealand, Australian, UK and US cities!
The ranking is based on the evaluation of 10 key factors: Political & Social Environment, Schools & Education, Medical & Health Considerations, Public Services & Transport, Consumer Goods, Economic Environment, Socio-Cultural Environment, Natural Environment, Recreation and Housing.
Top five cities for quality of life in 2008 are:
1. Zurich, Switzerland
2. Vienna, Austria (tied for 2nd)
2. Geneva, Switzerland (tied for 2nd)
4. Vancouver, Canada
5. AUCKLAND, New Zealand
